Boro 2, Liverpool 0. A great day in Boro history!
Marty, your list of world class players who haven't played in England is ridiculous. One could equally create a list of world class players who haven't played in Spain (Eric Cantona, Ruud Gullit, Bobby Charlton, Peter Schmeichel, Dennis Bergkamp, George Best, Patrick Vieira, Roy Keane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jürgen Klinsmann, etc).
Anyway, I'm not sure what such lists prove about the strengths of either league today. It's pretty obvious to anyone with a brain that the EPL is the best league in the world. Arguing about it is pointless. There is no argument to be made.

It's only a matter of time before Cristiano comes to Spain and we all know the names I listed are far and beyond any of those.

If we're talking about present day then EPL is the best league imo, but you can't really talk about things historically because historically the most successful English team is Liverpool right? Well bollocks are they at the moment, and they haven't been the best team in the country since the Premier League began, if I'm not mistaken. Best team in England, Manchester United. On recent form and trophies, best in Europe and the World too.
The point I'm making is that you can't just base it all on history to see who is the best right now, because Liverpool may have been dominant in the past, but they're shite now so you can't say they're the best team in England... similarly those historical wins for the Italian and Spanish teams aren't a good reflection of times now. No Italian team will win the Champions League this season imo, and I still think Madrid are out of it, despite Liverpool being shite. It's between Barca and us for the Champions League imo.

The Premiership isn't the best league in history. Why? Because it's only been around for about 15 years!
But this argument isn't about history. I'm talking about present day. And today, the Premiership is clearly the best league in the world. I've no idea why Marty is talking about the history of the leagues. It's irrelevant in this discussion.
As for the list of players I mentioned, Schmeichel is the best goalkeeper in football history, and most of the others probably escaped your Spanish radar. Maybe you live under a rock.

Under "my rock" we consider Lev Yashin to be the best goalkeeper ever, but that must have escaped your retard radar.

Re-read everything I've said and tell me where I said EPL isn't the best RIGHT NOW? Though historically, despite Will irrelavant discussion that the EPL is a fairly "new league" the teams are not and historically English teams are far less superior than Italy and Spain teams, and that is MY point. Will has a habit of wanting to be right even when he is wrong, so I don't even bother arguing with that idiot.

WHAT A FUCKING WIN! 1-0, 60TH MINUTE GOAL! WHAT A DAY, SO BRILLIANT! PICS FOR EVERYONE! My white t-shirt = ruined from flare smoke, fuck yes! The start of people turning the corner on the way to the game, sick march. Trams getting rocked, flares etc. Magnificent. OLE C'mon Melbourne score a goooooool, so we can go mentalllllllll. I love football. Massive bl to this tram which did nae move for about 30 mins, being rocked etc. Holding up the march. The end of the march, about 2,000 people, 40+ flares, chanting etc going mental. On the steps pre game. What a moment... Packed to the rafters. Insane flag. Part of our tifo which was ruined by riot cops who confiscated basically everything, ACAB. Again. Pre game. The final result. GOLLLLLLLLLL!
