All-time? Maybe.
But right now, the Premier League is easily the best league in the world. Just look at last year's and this year's Champions League.

Yeah Man Utd won last year but there are also 4 Spanish teams left same as England and the round isn't quite over just yet. and Spain's dominated the UEFA Cup since 2004.. winning in 2004, 2006, and 2007(in an all Spanish final) so if you go by LAST year sure English football was at it's prime though over the past 3-5 years nothing has rivaled Spanish football.

I'm not getting into this Spain/England which is better at football shit again lol. We had this argument a while back in BBS remember. At the end of the day, the best league out there right now is the Premier League, followed by La Liga and then Serie A. I still think that's why the Premier League attracts so many of the top footballers and its popularity is why there's so much damn money in English football. Spain's a better footballing nation than England IMO, but the Premier League is still superior to La Liga.

Anyway, random story... I was walking round Holborn in London this afternoon and was on the phone while walking past a hotel. A coach pulled up and out came a string of (what turned out to be) footballers, but I didn't know at the time since I was on the phone and not concentrating. I actually just thought they were a bunch of chavs or something and shoved my way through to get past them kinda by accident, then when I turned back to glare, a couple of them were just glaring back as if to say "don't you know who we are?!"
I didn't...
Then I saw the whole team had "FC Shakhtar" on the back of their jackets LOL. They're in town to play Spurs later.

At the moment, EPL > La Liga.
If you don't think so, you're just an idiot.
In last years semi-finals of the UCL, there were 3 fucking English teams left ffs. Will probably be the same again this year.

Spain's a better footballing nation than England IMO, but the Premier League is still superior to La Liga. Right now, yes the EPL is better but to say the Premier League attracts so many of the top footballers is a ridiculous statement. Almost every star player that is or has played in England has made a stop in Spain at least once. Some of the biggest names in futbol have never played for an English team. Messi, Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Cannavarro, Zarra, Hugo Sanchez, Samuel Eto'o, Puskas, Raul, Casillas, Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona, Hristo Stoichkov, etc. Also outside of Europe the most popular team in the world is Real Madrid, especially true in South American and hispanic-dominated states in the United States it's an obvious statement though considering Spanish is a first language. Now I'm not not knocking the EPL at all because I love to watch English soccer and I'm being as un-biased as possibly as I generally try to be with every sport. Yes, they were the dominant league last year, but has anyone had a better run so far this year than Barcelona? They are the highest scoring team in ALL of Europe. Up until recently they seemed absolutely unbeatable. Also, how can you guys go off based on one year? And the years before last season? Who was dominating the UEFA Cup? Spain teams, hell Espanyol made it to the UEFA cup finals 2 seasons ago and they weren't even in the top 10 in the LFP at that point and right now are looking at relegation and have only been saved thanks to a "miracle" win against Barcelona last week. James is the typical douchebag that even provided all stats in front of him, will still deny it. You Tiger at least will look at both sides of it so I don't mind arguing with you. If you prefer the EPL over the LFP that's a different story but LFP is called the "League of the Stars" for a reason. Hell the best player in the world wants to come to play for Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo anyone?

Well it's too early to talk about dominance for this year because we'll see what happens in the next few months. I don't really care too much about the UEFA Cup to be honest, especially not in the argument for the best teams. I do think it's funny that AC Milan got knocked out though LOL.
Team of the year so far may be Barcelona, but if you've been following the EPL then you'll know that Man Utd have been on a hell of a roll setting a record number of clean sheets in the league and dominating, despite having to play loads more games than everyone else and having to play catch up all season long (Liverpool and Chelsea failed to pull away in that time). I think we were dominant against Inter too, despite the goalless draw, and we should finish them off at Old Trafford. Barca struggled against Lyon if I'm not mistaken, and Madrid-Liverpool was a snorefest.
At the end of the Champions League I think we'll see a Spanish or English team as the winner. Let's see who, and let that settle the argument!

Oh, and if I'm not mistaken, of that list of players you mentioned who have never played in England, I don't think many of them speak English. A lot speak Spanish, and others Portuguese, but it's much easier to learn Spanish when you know Portuguese so I think language barriers may be a problem. Also, I honestly think that it's a lot harder to play in England than in Spain. That's one of the reasons why I think Ronaldo wants to go to Madrid - he'll have a much easier life there as he can be lazy at times, especially in comparison to the likes of Wayne Rooney.
It's a completely different game played in England though, I think it's a lot more physical and demanding than in Spain, where it's easier for flair players to look good imo.
The big comparison I always like to use is David Beckham. When he played for us he was a lot more hard working than when he played for Madrid, and it showed with his performances for the English national team. With Madrid he didn't need to run around and get the ball, because he had Zinedine and Figo passing the ball directly to his feet every single time. I think it made him lazy lol.
I'm not knocking La Liga here btw, just saying it's a different game in Spain compared to in England, and I think it'd be harder for the flair players of La Liga to shine as much in England.

Oh absolutely it's a different game.. but the style of play in Spain was "invented" by the Liverpool of the "golden years" What we call the "tica-taca" style of play but you do have flair players in England yourself who are among the best and being succesfull over there. Joe Cole, Fabregas, Cristiano Ronaldo, now Quaresma, Deco, Carlos Vela, Nani, Anderson, Ashley Young, that other young English dude Lennon?.. I mean you guys have a shitload of flair players too. It's no doubt the LFP is more of an "attack friendly" league but the Italian league in my opinion is a much more rough and grueling league than EPL. I'd rank Serie A, EPL and then LFP in terms of "toughness" but I mean everyone is going to have their own opinion. There is no one "better league." Each have their own styles of play and each league has had it's share of success more many years UEFA was dominated by Italy, than Spain, than England, and who knows what's going to happen. I know you said most of those guys were Spanish/Portuguese but they are the greatest of all-time nonetheless.

Haha maybe so lol. You see, you summed it up nicely in that last post. Moreso attacking football is in La Liga, moreso defensive football is in Serie A, and if you want a good balance, you have the Premier League
